In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Ta’ Kris restaurant serves traditional Maltese food that is made like it would be at home. In the heart of Sliema’s busy commercial district, you’ll find the restaurant tucked away on a little side street just off Bisazza Street.
Ta’ Kris is located in one of the oldest bakeries in Sliema and displays brightly colored traditional Maltese tiles as well as other authentic elements from the building in which it is housed.
A Maltese restaurant called Ta’ Kris is hidden in an alley near Sliema, which is Malta’s most popular shopping area. It’s nice to find Ta’ Kris’ bistro tucked away on a quiet side street in a crazy world. It has a rustic look and serves traditional Maltese food in a homey way.

It used to be a bakery, but Ta’ Kris is a simple place. The oven from the bakery is still there, which makes the place feel like it’s been around for a long time.

On the menu, some things look like they came straight from mom’s kitchen, like homemade beef stew, fresh homemade soup, rabbit, stuffed beef slices (braggioli), sea bass (spnot), and more. Some Italian and Mediterranean dishes, like pastas and fillets, are also on the menu. This gives the menu more variety.
Because it is close to many offices and stores, Ta’ Kris is a busy restaurant for which you should make a reservation. It’s open every day for lunch and dinner.
