Tex Mex Que-Shi

Steak & spice and everything nice! I love dining out, the experience, that atmosphere; it is one of my favourite things to do.

Recently I went to Spinolas newest addition in the restaurant business, Tex Mex Que-Shi; after a successful expansion into the south of Malta, Tex Mex opened its next restaurant in the heart of Spinola, St Julians.

The new eatery focuses on a mixture of BBQ and sushi with a modern twist. I was ranging from steaks to exquisite tastes of Asia.

On arrival, we were greeted by the staff, showing us to a lovely quiet table in the corner of the restaurant; the dimmed lighting, the open-plan kitchen, and the decor were stunning.

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and excellent food with a bit of difference. The waiter was attentive. The food was also delicious.

We ordered a bottle of white wine from the restaurant’s wine list. We shared a platter of Robata Grill’s fresh house steak plater, which included a filet de boeuf prepared to perfection and served medium-rare, fried cubes of potato seasoned with fresh herbs.

A salad of mango, beans, and sweetcorn—served with a rich mushroom sauce that went beautifully with the steak. Well worth the cost.

Finishing off dinner, we were given a complimentary taster of the house ice cream, featuring raspberry cheesecake, and lime tart ice cream, finished off with cream and cherries. I enjoyed the meal’s conclusion. We left feeling extremely satisfied and full.

There is something for everyone with a long list of different American Asian twists and cocktails.
