Dark Mode Off / On

News, or shall I say “Animation”, travels fast! I recently came across this unique, entertaining, and fun adult animation that runs on the channel Dave on UKTV late nights and their VoD UKTVplay, introducing TheBruvs! What grabbed me first was the colours, the fun vibe and, honestly, the story.

Have You Heard of TheBruvs? You Need To...

This creative entertainment has some super great history! Having come a long way, this animation is going up in the comedy world, and I see why.

The Blues also won the “Best Animation Short award” at the Romford Film Festival for our film Talking with Dinosaurs. Pretty cool, right? Ian Brown is one of the Cult Animation makers; he has been a TV writer and producer for nearly 30 years, and he’s also known with the celebs!

Having written or produced for the likes of Harrison Ford, Charlton Heston, Pierce Brosnan, Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson, Homer Simpson, Vic and Bob, Ant and Dec, Bruce Forsyth, This Is Your Life, Top Gear, Liam Neeson, Jason Statham, the casts of EastEnders, Coronation Street, Holby, Emmerdale, Casualty, Ross Kemp, Martin Kemp, Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Des O’Connor and many more.

TheBruvs have also snatched up a fantastic deal with UKTV, allowing UKTV to have their first animation series and allowing TheBruvs to remain online.

So what is it all about, this cult animation, you ask? The films feature a family of East London villains trying to go straight into a new home in Essex – and failing big time.

They usually end up in some violence – generally involving lead characters – brothers Doug and Den Bruv, proving in their case that blood is thicker.

Many people say they recognise the characters – as themselves, brothers or friends. I guess we are part Family Guy/part EastEnders. The Bravs have proved popular with fans of British gangster films. This is cool because you feel you can connect with the character. TheBruvs

“We have not had any direct help from those I have worked with other than a tweet from Clarkson – in his unique style – calling me Useless. However, we have gained unprompted celeb support from the likes of Linda Robson (Birds of a Feather), Melanie Sykes, Eamonn Holmes, Martine McCutcheon, Gavin Rossdale, Thandie Newton (Line of Duty, WestWorld, Mission Impossible) and Simon Gregson – who plays Steve McDonald in Coronation Street. “

Wow, just WOW! Now get watching; let me and TheBruvs know your thoughts and what catches your eye the most! I’m certainly looking forward to seeing the series progresses!
