Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County was the first reality show. It’s back on Netflix, and we’re rewatching it!

Laguna Beach, a real-life Gossip Girl about eight beautiful and wealthy teens, got us hooked on the most vital components of being a teen, like crushes and life plans.

Although it feels like yesterday, the show first aired on MTV almost 19 years ago, and their lives are dramatically different now.

Lauren Conrad

Lauren was the most promising Laguna Beach star…

After The Hills, Lauren focused on fashion, founding LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown. She published several New York Times bestsellers, including L.A. Candy, and launched The Little Market, an online boutique selling women’s handmade goods. She’s busy!

In 2019, she created her podcast, Asking for A Friend, and made perfume. In 2014, the entrepreneur married musician William Tell and had two kids, Liam and Charlie, in 2017 and 2019.

Kristin Cavallari

Kristin appeared on The Hills and tried her hand at acting and presenting when the reality program ended. After marrying Jay Cutler in 2013, she starred in her own reality show, Very Cavallari. They have Saylor, Camden, and Jaxon. Their reality show was cancelled after they parted in April 2020.

Kristin leads fashion and lifestyle brand Uncommon James and writes books, including 2020’s True Comfort.

Stephen Colletti

After Laguna Beach, Stephen played Chase Adams in One Tree Hill from 2007 through 2012.

In 2021, Hulu took up his 2018 series Everyone is Doing Great, which he developed, produced, and starred in with James Lafferty. He co-hosted Laguna Beach: Back to the Beach with ex-girlfriend Kristin recently.

Trey Phillips

Trey’s been quiet since reality TV. His Instagram is new, so little is known about him save that he achieved his boyhood ambition!

Lo Bosworth

Lo, Lauren Conrad’s best friend onscreen, was a fan favourite, and it’s fantastic to see she’s doing well now.

After leaving TV, Lo launched The Lo-Down in 2010 and published a book of the same name in 2011. She founded Love Wellness, a clean personal care line for women, in 2016.

Jason Wähler

After Laguna Beach, Jason appeared on The Hills before leaving reality TV to get healthy and clean. He later appeared on The Hills: New Beginnings from 2019 to 2021. Jason married Ashley Slack in 2013 and has Delilah in 2017 and Wyatt in 2021.

He told supporters that he and Stephen Colletti often have playdates with their kids! @JasonWahler on Instagram has adorable family photos.

Dieter Schmitz

Dieter grew up 19 years later. In Washington D.C., the former TV star designs hotels as an area general manager for Lore Group.

He married Isabell in 2016 with former costars Stephen Colletti, Trey Philips, and Loren Polster as groomsmen. They had Nico in 2018 and are expecting a girl in 2023.
