There’s something magical about travelling in the USA. It’s like stepping into a movie set but with better snacks, bigger road trips, and more jaw-dropping moments than you can imagine. The country is so massive that you simply can’t see it all in one trip—though I promise, you’ll start planning the next one before you’ve even unpacked your bags.

Whether you’re after epic theme parks, quiet coastal hideaways, or snow-dusted mountain slopes, the USA is built for adventure. For me, every trip there feels like a new chapter of the “American dream,” and I’m here for it.

Hawaii: honeymoon heaven

When it comes to romance, Hawaii is an unbeatable destination. Yes, it can be expensive, but between the turquoise water, secret beaches, and stunning sunsets, it’s worth every rupee or dollar you spend. I’ll never forget waking up to the sound of waves on the North Shore, followed by fresh poke bowls for breakfast. Diamond Head’s sunrise hike? A must-do. It’s one of those places that feel like a movie soundtrack come to life.

Las Vegas: the city that never chills

There is no such thing as a quiet night in Las Vegas—and honestly, that’s part of the charm. The Strip is a glowing, buzzing carnival of neon lights, slot machines, world-class shows, and spontaneous weddings that you’ll talk about for years. I remember walking down Fremont Street and thinking, “Is this real life?” because the vibe is just that over the top.

Couples love it, singles love it, and even if you don’t gamble, Vegas is still a sensory overload of entertainment.

Florida: my sunshine fling

Florida feels like a love letter to sunshine seekers. Start in Miami, where pastel Art Deco meets Cuban coffee, then wind down the Keys for a laid-back island vibe.

Palm Beach and Boca Raton have that luxury feel—think shopping sprees and spa days—while Orlando’s Walt Disney World is an absolute classic. Want to feel the magic? Check out Disney’s official site to plan your perfect day of castles, fireworks, and Mickey-shaped treats.

For space lovers, Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral is mind-blowing. Watching a rocket launch in person is a pinch-me moment you’ll never forget.

Mountains, snow and winter thrills

Not into sunbathing? The USA has just as much to offer in winter. Aspen, Colorado, is the ski capital with glittering slopes, luxury lodges, and cosy après-ski nights. Vermont’s green mountains turn into a snowy wonderland in winter, perfect for rustic cabins and lazy fireside evenings.

Disneyland: for kids of all ages

Let’s be honest: Disneyland isn’t just for kids. I may or may not have teared up when I met Mickey Mouse for the first time. The nostalgia hits hard, and the rides? Timeless. It’s a must-do, whether you’re a family or a group of friends reliving your childhood. Plan your dream Disney trip here.

And if you’re looking for a cosy night in after your theme park marathon, I’ve got you covered with my list of Valentine’s Day’s best movies.

Hidden gems you can’t miss

The USA isn’t just about the obvious stops. Some of my favourite trips have been to lesser-known gems, like:

  • Savannah, Georgia – Cobblestone streets, ghost tours, and oak trees draped in Spanish moss. It feels like a mix of Southern charm and spooky fun.
  • Charleston, South Carolina – A colourful town with pastel houses, horse-drawn carriages, and some of the best seafood I’ve ever had.
  • Yosemite National Park, California – Towering granite cliffs and trails that make you feel tiny in the best way.
  • Sedona, Arizona – Those red rock formations are straight out of a dream. Perfect for hiking or even a spa day with a view.

These places don’t always make the top lists but offer an authentic slice of American culture and scenery.

Hiking and road trips

Road-tripping across the USA is the ultimate way to experience the country. Picture this: windows down, music up, and endless landscapes unfolding. If you love nature, the Grand Canyon in Arizona will blow your mind at sunset. Big Bend National Park in Texas? Desert beauty meets starry skies. Then there are the Ozarks in Arkansas, where the trails go on forever.

Travelling by RV is a fantastic option if you want to camp your way across states. You’ll meet amazing people, share stories around campfires, and see the country from a whole new perspective.

New York City: the city that never sleeps

And then, there’s New York. There’s nowhere like it. Between the skyline views, Broadway lights, and bagels (yes, they really are better here), it’s the city that feels alive 24/7.

Coney Island is a must if you love quirky vibes and boardwalk fun. Don’t forget the Coney Island Museum for a throwback to classic Americana. Want to dive deeper? Check out my post on New York nightlife for my favourite spots and stories.

How I plan my USA trips

  • Pick the vibe: beach or snow? City or road trip?
  • Pair opposites: I love mixing a buzzing city with a chill national park.
  • Leave room for surprises: The best adventures are usually the unplanned ones.
  • Pack layers: Trust me, from Hawaii’s breeze to Colorado’s frost, you’ll need them.

My verdict? Just go!

The USA is an adventure playground waiting for you to dive in. Whether you’re chasing sunshine, skiing down slopes, or hopping between iconic cities, there’s no “wrong” way to travel here.

And when you get back, tell me your favourite spots. Was it the neon glow of Vegas? A sunset over the Grand Canyon? Or that first slice of New York pizza? I want to hear all about it.
