Iceland

If you’ve never been to Iceland in the last few months of the year, we recommend that you do. You get the chance to explore some fantastic ice caves, see frozen landscapes for miles that truly are breathtaking to see, and, of course, you may get the opportunity to witness the incredible Northern Lights if you’re in the right place at the right time.

While Iceland might not be high on the list of places to visit for most people, if you’ve ever wanted to see the beautiful lights in person, and you’re a fan of the colder climate, we do think that you would enjoy a trip here.

Bonus idea: Warm up at the famous Blue Lagoon spa. Sitting in steaming geothermal waters while surrounded by snow is an experience you’ll never forget.

Caribbean

Tropical beaches, warm waters, a beautiful climate…what more could you want from a holiday destination? This is especially true if you’re generally freezing colder through the later months of the year and you would like a break from that. Trade the cold for the sandy beaches on a number of different islands, it’s just a case of choosing the one that you want to visit. If you’re not a fan of the cold, the Caribbean is definitely the right place to be.

Bonus idea: Go beyond the beach and explore local culture. Think steel drum music, spicy jerk chicken, rum distilleries, and vibrant street carnivals.

America

The USA is a vast place and you never know where you might end up! If you are wanting to get away for fall and halloween time then America really is the best place to experience this. You may have only seen this in films and want to truly experience it in real life, it really is worth seeing. You could try visiting New England, this is one of the best places for fall visits.

Bonus idea: Time your trip for late November and join in on Thanksgiving festivities — parades, pumpkin pie, and all. It’s a uniquely American celebration.

Staycation

Finally, how about considering a staycation if you can’t think of anywhere far away to go. Staycations became incredibly popular during the Covid-19 pandemic, as airports and main transport links were closed down. That could only mean if you wanted to get away then you had to book your local RV park or campground. Staycations can be a super fun way to explore your home town and country. You could discover places you have never been, check out what’s on Saint Annes for instance. This will give you all the showtimes and you could do something you’ve never done before.
