Oh, what an enchanting evening I had at Bacchus in the heart of Mdina! The experience was nothing short of magical, and I’m bubbling over with excitement to share it with you!
In this gourmet utopia, I felt like I was entering a secret treasure behind a big iron ‘Portcullis.’ Bacchus, in Mdina’s old walls, has a rich history and delicious food.
These two charming chambers, originally gunpowder magazines constructed by Grand Master Fra Martino De Redin in the 17th century, have been transformed into the epitome of fine dining with a warm and welcoming ambiance.
Bacchus has been perfecting the art of indulgence for over thirty-five years, and it certainly shows. The menu is a symphony of authentic Mediterranean cuisine, peppered with signature dishes that have delighted patrons for generations.
Our delicious dinner started with coconut panna cotta with passion fruit and mango.
The wine selection was excellent, and we chose Pinot Grigio and Prosecco to enhance our evening. 🥂
The Bacchus chicken breast with black garlic, porcini, and heritage carrots was the star of the meal. Pan-fried duck breast, Angus beef cheek, and farfalle pesto also tasted great.
We couldn’t resist finishing with a delicious cranberry mousse, blackberry and raspberry cream, and white chocolate mousse. Dessert nirvana!
Bacchus quenched our needs and transported us in flavour and time. History and haute cuisine merge here, and I highly suggest it. Bacchus is the place to go for a memorable meal in Mdina.
Cheers to Bacchus, where every bite is a sip of history and every sip is a toast to the extraordinary! #BacchusAdventures #MdinaMagic
