From blogger to bridal boss – and everything in between

Hi there! I’m Jadine Arnold-Marcus—writer, wanderer, newlywed, and yes, the slightly chaotic, caffeine-fuelled creator behind The Punk Rock Princess.

Once upon a drizzle, I was the brains behind the Edinburgh Blogger Conference—remember Creative Events? Yep, that was me, corralling bloggers and brands into a whirlwind of workshops, cocktails, and confidence-boosting panels in the heart of Scotland. But I’ve since swapped those misty mornings for the sun-soaked streets of Malta (though Edinburgh still owns a chunk of my soul and my coat collection).

And now? I’m proudly the Editor of I DO Bridal Magazine, Malta’s cheeky yet stylish nod to love, lace, and everything wedding-related. Think modern, inclusive, fiercely independent, and just the right amount of glitter. We champion real couples, real stories, and real creativity—whether that’s a dog in a bow tie or a bride in boots.

The blog that started it all

The Punk Rock Princess isn’t just a name—it’s a vibe. It’s where pop culture meets real talk. Where spooky season is year-round. Where fashion rants, emotional travel tales, ghost stories, guilty pleasure playlists, and kitchen mishaps live together in harmony.

You’ll find content that celebrates the messy and the magical. We talk DIY (the kind that might include googly eyes and glitter glue), mental health, nostalgia, and why the ‘90s were low-key iconic. It’s honest. It’s loud. It’s a little haunted. It’s home.

A suitcase full of stories (and snacks)

From Namibia to Bangladesh, Vietnam to England, I’ve collected cultures, inspiration, and probably way too many fridge magnets. Whether I was sipping smoky whisky in Islay or dodging cows in Goa, these travels have shaped my worldview—and definitely my writing.

I believe in storytelling that’s soaked in soul. That travels with you. That lingers like your grandmother’s perfume or that one perfect bite of street food you’ll never forget.

I also believe in snacks. A lot.

So, what can you expect?

Here on The Punk Rock Princess, I cover:

🎀 Fashion & Beauty with a Twist

We don’t gatekeep around here. Whether it’s how to rock sequins before 10 a.m., or why your grandma’s nightgown might just be the next big thing, we explore the intersection of fashion, identity, and rebellion.

🌍 Honest Travel Guides

Forget your generic 5-star reviews. I’ll tell you where to find the best fried chicken at midnight in Tokyo, what not to do on a ferry in Malta, and why some “hidden gems” should stay hidden.

👻 A Sprinkle of the Supernatural

Ghost stories, cursed objects, and places that make you sleep with one eye open? Yes, please. I love a spooky tale, especially when it comes with a side of truth and a twist of folklore.

🎤 Pop Culture and TV Deep Dives

I live for a juicy behind-the-scenes breakdown or a “where are they now” celeb rabbit hole. From The Good Place to One Tree Hill, expect fun facts, fan theories, and fandom-fuelled chaos.

🍝 Food That Feeds the Soul (and Sometimes the Fire Alarm)

Whether it’s a one-pot wonder or a chaotic baking session gone rogue, I’m all about food that brings joy—even if it gets a little messy.

From content creation to creative direction

When I’m not blogging or editing wedding features for I DO, I’m collaborating with brands, crafting campaign content, or helping businesses tell their story with style. If you need web copy that sings, a product description with punch, or a social media voice that actually sounds human—drop me a line.

I’ve worked across hospitality, fashion, tech, wellness, and events, with a special place in my heart for anything indie, edgy, or glitter-drenched.

Why I write (and why you’re here)

Life’s messy. Wild. Occasionally ridiculous. But it’s also beautiful, hilarious, heart-breaking, and totally worth documenting. This blog is my way of saying: Let’s talk about it. Let’s laugh about it. Let’s cry about it over coffee and toast.

So whether you’re here for a laugh, a life hack, some light ghost hunting, or to chat about weddings and wearable eyeliner—welcome. You’re in good company.
